Every now and then, on a Monday, Sammy would treat herself to extra time with her book, with a heavenly homemade lunch or an occasional cheeky pastry, at Silver Dollar City. One of her favorite spots to sit and read at the theme park was right by a waterfall that was close enough to make the sounds of the surrounding rides seem as if in a dream.
The Showcase must go on
Just like Sammy Shepherd, I love to come to Siver Dollar City simply to take in the air, the sights, and the wholesome energy. Sometimes I’ll even come equipped with a homemade lunch. Today I decided to take my little break near the Mystic River Falls ride.
I can almost imagine Sammy sitting here quietly thumbing through a well-worn book, unbothered as the noise and bustle of the park are filtered through the sounds of the waterfall. I wonder what she’d be reading on those days. I wonder if she’d like the Cozy Ozarks Mysteries.
