Bar-B-Clue

Bar-B-Clue

Welcome to Goofy Gregg’s BBQ where the meats are served nearly as hot as the scandal. Sammy Shepherd learns what the B in Bar-B-Que stands for. Can she smoke out the culprit?

Sammy wasn’t surprised when Jane developed a sudden interest in bar trivia. Danny, Jane’s love interest, hosts a weekly trivia game during happy hour in the expansive bar section of Goofy Gregg’s Bar-B-Que Bar-&-Grill.

It didn’t take Sammy long to see that there was something going on, things were goofy in more ways than one. Gregg, the restaurant’s owner, always seems to have an influential “someone” under his arm during these happy hours. Most of the men seemed like they were merely stopping for “a quick one” on the way home.

But sometimes, if you stay around the bar long enough, chatting with a friend perhaps, you might just see those same people, hours later, emerging from Gregg’s private office in the back. And then, of course, you would only be able to see that if you happened to have taken a wrong turn, at the right moment, leaving the restrooms.

The privacy of Gregg’s private office was sacrosanct. This explained the late discovery. When he didn’t turn up at the bar no one really thought much of it, except how smooth things ran. No one thought to check his office.

Until someone did. That someone was Danny. According to testimony, Gregg was found stabbed, with an unaccounted for clue. The quick-witted and owl-eyed Que-tender has more to say than he’s letting on. Sammy needs to pit her wits against this pit master and read between the lines.

Sammy knows that the love interest of her best friend, Jane, is also a person of interest in this muderous crime. Detective Dunnitt is hot on the case, but Sammy is in a rare position, being closest to the prime suspects.
